Kids, get your pencils out!

Send us your drawings and they might be included in our activity booklet.

A couple of pages from the booklet are ready but they need pictures ... I cannot draw!

What can the kids draw? Anything to do with fishing, beach, boating, under the sea theme.

Draw a large fish, dolphin, octopus etc - your drawing might be used on the colouring pages.

Plenty of smaller pics might be used for puzzles and to brighten up the pages.

Black and white please (we will do colouring in pages later in the holidays)
Any size but no larger than A4

Please submit your black and white images as a jpeg to bookings@2bentrods.com.au

Interesting day for fishing!

Yes, you can go fishing, read below.

Please follow the rules, stay close to home and don’t take any unnecessary risks while out boating. The latest advice from Queensland Health is to #StayHomeSaveLives so we strongly encourage everyone to stay home as much as possible and avoid gatherings that aren’t essential. Queensland boaties can still take their boats out locally to fish for food or travel for essential reasons. Public gatherings such as fishing are limited to 2 people (other than your direct household). If you do choose to go fishing, stay close to home, keep a distance of 1.5 m from others and practise good hygiene, especially when fuelling up and at boat ramps. State Government boat ramps will remain open to boaties. Boaties should also be mindful of hygiene when putting boats in the water at public facilities. At this point in time, QBFP officers are still patrolling and fishing rules remain in place. QBFP are avoiding close contact, conducting interviews and discussions on open deck, cleaning their hands frequently and have sanitisers on all vessels and cleaning all internal components of vessels. If anything changes, we will be sure to let you know, but for now, do your part to slow the spread. This advice is current as of 31 March 2020 and may change in response to new or amended CHO Health Directions and the government’s response to stopping the spread of COVID-19. Stay up-to-date with accurate, reliable information by visiting www.health.qld.gov.au/coronavirus

Sadly, last week we cancelled all our classes and events due to "Rona".

This will be temporary, we will be back when it is safe to do so.
Although it won't be easy, we will eventually build 2 Bent Rods back up again. Over the past 15 years, we have survived plenty of lows, we have always bounced back - more out of sheer stubbornness than anything else. We have also had plenty of highs. We will come back bigger and better!

To our customers and staff, you make our business what it is and we truly hope we will still be learning & working with you when this is all over.

Hopefully later in the week we will have some fishing related activities and craft ideas for the kids to do at home.

Stay safe everyone
