This is land-based fishing competition is open to young people aged 12 to 25 years that live in the Ipswich Region.
The competition will run from 23 March – 19 April 2026
Only Ipswich Council Residents are eligible for prizes.
The Catch, Snap and Win Comp is a photo only competitions where entrants will upload photos of the catches.
Please make sure you join the Comp Facebook group to be keep up to date with all the details.
This competition uses the Two Bent Rods App.
You will need to register everyone individually in the app.
Photos of fish caught are taken on a brag mat, along with a code (provided at the start of the comp) and then uploaded.

There are some great prizes up for grabs in the Ipswich WaterFest 2026 Catch, Snap & Win Fishing Competition, thanks to the support of local businesses and community partners.
Charlton’s Fishing has generously donated prize vouchers, giving winners the chance to gear up with quality fishing equipment. With something for everyone from beginners to keen anglers, it’s the perfect place to stock up before your next trip.
Total Tools Ipswich has also come on board with a fantastic prize package. With their “Every Tool, Every Trade” range, they’ve helped boost the prize pool with something a little different, supporting anglers and families right across the community.
The Australian Fishing Museum has contributed a unique prize package, adding something special to the mix. Home to one of the largest collections of vintage Australian fishing reels, it’s a great experience for any fishing enthusiast.
There are multiple ways to win across all age groups, including longest Australian Bass, most impressive catch and most pest fish overall. Every entry also goes into the draw to win a kayak, so everyone has a chance.
