The kids will have discussions about beach, marine & personal
safety as well as sustainability and rubbish in our waterways.
They will learn to catch their own bait with a bait net & yabby
pump. Fish caught in the net are identified, the kids are told how to
safely handle them. They are also shown any dangerous fish.
They will learn to tie hooks using a hookeze as well as bait
presentation. Casting is done on Alvey Reels. Kids will also be shown
how to read the beach. Hopefully they will hook a fish.
We show the kids how to use the equipment and then we hand it over
and correct their technique.
We have competitions throughout the session such as best manners,
casting competition, biggest yabby nipper, first fish caught etc.,
Each child will receive a bag with information on fishing rules &
regulations, magazine & more.
Kids only need to bring a hat, drink, sunscreen & snack if
required. We supply all the fishing gear needed for the day.
We are also running a family program at the same time.

Can be re-spooled for left handers.
All products can be brought to your lesson.
